Through work package 3, Dive – in, using the theoretical lens developed in work package 1 and 2, we study five pioneering initiatives to gain insight in the drivers of young adults to act for ocean, sea and waters. We study the following five pioneering initiatives:

Coastal Culture Centre (Portugal), Parliament de Loire (France);

– Embassy of the North Sea (the Netherlands);

 – Clean Rivers (the Netherlands);

– Classroom under Sail (Germany).

These initiatives are selected because of their innovative approach towards new forms of human-nature relationships. We study the initiatives through document analysis, interviews with initiators / board members, interviews with young participants and focus groups, with a focus on the emotions and fears about oceans and waters, now and in the future.
