Description
Through work package 3, Dive-in, we use the theoretical framework developed in work packages 1 and 2 to study five pioneering initiatives. We aim to gain insight into the factors motivating young generations to take action for the ocean, seas, and waters. The five pioneering initiatives we examine are:
Coastal Culture Centre (Portugal);
Parliament de Loire (France);
Embassy of the North Sea (the Netherlands);
Clean Rivers (the Netherlands);
Classroom under Sail (Germany).
These initiatives are selected because of their innovative approach towards new forms of human-nature relationships. We study the initiatives through document analysis, interviews with initiators / board members, interviews with young participants and focus groups, with a focus on the emotions and fears about oceans and waters, now and in the future.
